Havana
cigars are commonly named in
honor of famous personalities.
Simon Bolivar, to whom this
brand pays tribute, liberated
South America from Spanish rule
in the 19th Century. Only after Ramon and Rafael Cifuentes took
it over in the 1950’s, did this
label become popular. Today the
Bolivar is, without a doubt, one
of the most outstanding and most
well known of the
Havanas. Not
for beginners nor for those who
prefer a mild cigar, the Bolivar, with it’s typically
strong and sumptuous taste, is
reserved “for connoisseurs
only”. It’s dark
wrapper, powerful flavor and good draw
make
Bolivar one of the best
Havana’s of all. After a hearty
and ample meal, it is truly a
gift from heaven!
The most
well-known Bolivar cigars are
certainly the
Belicosos Finos
and Belicosos Cabinet, which are available box-pressed
in a multi-colored box of 25, as
well as in a slide lid box (SLB)
of 50, which we particularly
recommend. Furthermore, Bolivar
Royal Coronas are available in
the Robusto format, the
Coronas
Extra in the
Corona Gorda format, the
Coronas Gigantes in the
Churchills format,
the Inmensas in the Lonsdale
format, and as one
the of the very best small
Habanos, the
Bolivar Petit
Coronas.
